Dallas Buttock Augmentation can be broken down into two categories:
Buttock augmentation with implants, once upon a time, was the preferred choice for gluteal augmentation. Through either one or two small incisions, a solid silicone implant is placed within the buttock. Most commonly, the implant is placed deep to the buttock fat and the covering just superficial to the gluteus maximus muscle (subfascial implant placement). Results can be long-lasting and pleasing. Due to the rising popularity of the Dallas Brazilian Butt Lift, however, buttock augmentation with implants no longer is considered the number one option for gluteal augmentation. Although results can be fantastic after buttock implant placement, complications such as malposition (implant flipping or moving to the wrong location), infection, sensory changes and an overly round appearance have all been described. Furthermore, results tend to be much more natural and long-lasting after Dallas Brazilian Butt Lift. As a result, the preferred option for Buttock Augmentation in women with some extra fat is the Dallas Brazilian Butt Lift. Buttock Implant placement tends to be reserved for those women who wear either a size zero or size two dress.
The Dallas Brazilian Butt Lift, or buttock augmentation with fat, is Dr. Jejurikar’s preferred method for gluteal augmentation. The first aspect of this procedure is to perform extensive liposuction. Dr. Jejurikar is able to eliminate pesky fat pockets from multiple areas of the body by doing this. In addition. through sculpting of the lower back, love handles (flanks), outer thighs and abdomen, he is able to shape and control the projection of the buttock. The fat that is removed is collected and reinjected into the buttocks. This fat is injected superficial to, deep to, and within the gluteus maximus muscle. It is molded to provide patients with an optimal shape and projection, not to mention larger buttocks!
Buttock augmentation, either with implants or fat, is performed under general anesthesia and involve either no sitting or modified sitting for up to two months postoperatively. To learn more or to schedule a consultation, contact Dr. Sam Jejurikar’s office at 214-827-2814.
