Post-Operative Instructions for the Brazilian Butt Lift and Buttock Augmentation with Implants

Dr. J recommends his patients follow his tried and true guidelines after having a Brazilian Buttock Lift or Buttock Augmentation with Implants in order to achieve the best results.

Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery Post-Op Instructions:

  • A high fat, high calorie diet is recommended for 3 months following surgery
  • Avoid sitting on your buttocks completely for 10 days after surgery, and minimize sitting for an additional 6 weeks thereafter.
  • When you are able to sit 10 days postoperatively, use a bolster behind your thighs when sitting to alleviate pressure from your buttocks. This restriction lasts until at least 6 weeks postoperatively.
  • Avoid all strenuous exercise for 4 weeks following surgery. Light walking only is permitted during this time. Avoid all high intensity buttock exercises (squats, lunges, etc.) for 3 months following surgery.
  • You may fly in 7-10 days and resume driving when you feel comfortable enough to do so, after 10 days.

Buttock Augmentation with Implants Post-Op Instructions:

  • Avoid sitting on your buttocks completely for three weeks after surgery, and minimize sitting for a full three months after surgery. Do not lie on your buttocks for 3 months postoperatively.
  • Avoid all strenuous exercise for 6 weeks following surgery. Light walking only is permitted during this time.
  • You can take a shower 5 days after surgery.
  • You may fly in 3 weeks and resume driving when you feel comfortable enough to do so, after 21 days.
